A Sleep Study from Your Own Home in North Canton, Ohio
Traditional sleep studies can cost thousands of dollars, making them not only inconvenient, but also costly and time consuming. Our home sleep study is an economical, yet effective, self-administered sleep study in the comfort of your own home.
Our home study employs the Ares Unicorder by Watermark Medical. This lightweight recorder is worn on your forehead during a regular night of sleep, making it more comfortable than traditional sleep monitoring devices, and it measures many of the same variables measured in more costly level 1 studies all from the comfort of your own home.
While we are unable to use this study to diagnose Obstructive Sleep Apnea, we can use this study to help you get the most out of your OSA treatment. In our office we use these home sleep studies to:
- Screen patients for the possible incidence of OSA
- Determine the severity of the patient’s possible OSA
- Monitor the success, over time, of the oral appliances made for our patients
